I KNEW I was forgetting something!

Half an hour minutes late in posting for "November 13th."

Johnny woke up at 4am & spent most of the day being a poor little miserable sicko with a not-fun cough and sniffles. Luckily no fever, but still not fun.

So much for NaBloPoMo! The snuggle time was definitely worth it, though.

So very tired...

John woke up a little before 5am and, of course, I was the one to get up with him since Tom has to the mornings I'm at work.

I have a whole huge amount of awe for the man right now!

Food has been stellar & I've still managed to walk a LOT the past couple of days ... but I'm so very tired ...

11 November 2009

I've decided ...

Today may just be a good day to look for recipes for the holiday shindigs. Tom & I always have his family over for a Christmas-ish party with finger food type munchies ... but this will be the first time I've had to try and figure out how to do it gluten free. Add to that the whole fact that I'm consuming 600 calories or so less than I've been used to and that throws another kink into what I've been offering up for the past few years. I don't even care that everyone else can have all the sugar and fat and gluten their little hearts desire ... if they want it, they can bring it (I'm such a lovely hostess, huh?).

Anyway, before I can start figuring all that out I had to figure out the food for today. Still have 2 whopping points left to toy around with ... quite probably will go towards chocolate or taste-tests or taste-tests of chocolate ...

Looks better!

I plotted things out before leaving work this morning and have only had to make little tweaks so far. I'm not expecting any tweaking for dinner & definitely not for the coffee I grab on my way to work, so this should be it for the day!

It makes things interesting tracking with WW when I eat as many times throughout the day as I do. One of the nice things about BodyBugg's tracking is that it's broken down into Breakfast, AM Snack, Lunch, PM Snack, Dinner, & Late Snack. WW does Morning, Midday, Evening & Snacks. Makes for some real wacky looking meals :)

Not quite 24 hours later

Still no "buyer's remorse" over having rejoined WW Online!

Do I kinda wish I had waited until I was more prepared with groceries and the drastic drop in calories? Yeah, kinda.

Do I know that if I had waited I would've probably just kept putting it off? Yeah.

Am I already stressing out a bit about how to divy up my 24 Points knowing that 5 nights a week I'll have to have something in the middle of the night because if I don't eat at work I become a stark raving biotch? More than a bit.

This is where the whole "pre-planning" thing comes in handy, huh?

Tracking all the above with my BodyBugg log it ended up being 1218 calories. I'm used to 1700-1800 so this is going to take quite a bit of adjustment for my body! Of course ... those extra calories were too often given to M&Ms and more than just the four Kisses!

*Yes, I split part of a "cupcake" with the little guy for breakfast. It really is more muffiny than cupcakey, though.

Honestly?

Ashlee over at Fat Mom Blog gave me the Honest Scrap Award! WOO-HOOOO!!! The catch is now I'm supposed to give it to seven others ... and fork over 10 tidbits of info on yours truly.

My Seven:
Crystal : My favorite stalker :)
Caitlin : Currently taking a little break, but I know she'll love this!
Rosie : Just because she rocks
Diane : The woman's a trip & one of my dear facebook buds
Sarah : One of my favorite reads. There's just something about her that makes me think we'd be kickin' friends in real life if we ever met.
Sarah : Much like the other Sarah in how cool I think she is, but this one is Canadian!
Ida : I adore Ida. I've never told her (til now, I suppose) but I sorta look up to her as my surrogate cyber-mom. If my mom was still around I know they'd be incredibly good friends.

Okay, so onto the 10:

1. As much as I've adored my BodyBugg and will always love that Tom knew to get it for me I honestly don't think I'm going to renew when my current year is up. Something about me just isn't working with it well. 53 weeks in my possession and I'm pathetically close to where I was when I got it. I believe in the handiness of the Bugg ... just not in my own personal ability to use it wisely apparently.

2. I don't mind the scars I've gotten over the years. Each one reminds me that I overcame something huge.

3. I don't mind my stretch marks, either. They were the first gifts my son ever gave to me :)

4. I've never had a cast -- a fractured skull and a shattered kneecap & tibia, yes, but nothing that's ever required a cast.

5. I analyze too much sometimes.

6. I almost dread the day my son starts to ask me about religion ... mostly because of #5. Things would probably be a lot easier if I actually "followed" a fairly clearcut path of some sort.

7. Even though I'm pretty anal when it comes to planning and organizing just about everything else in my life I seem to suck when it comes to food & exercise (which is probably why I'm still fat).

8. Clear very starry nights freak me out. Typically they only occur when someone close to me is dying. Happened with my great-gran, my Ah-Boo (my great-great aunt), my grampa, and my mom.

9. I actually enjoy working 3rd shift and prefer working it alone. It's the only "me time" I get sometimes!

10. I'm strongly considering signing up .... for the millionth time .... for WW Online. I can't do meetings, but I had some pretty good luck doing it online before.

Now ... aren't you sorry you asked?

08 November 2009

Just a quickie ...

I've got to actually get some work done so will post an actual post in a little while but before I forget again ....

A big whopping loss of .8 this week which I should be happy with but .... well .... we'll get into that after I hammer out some of this paperwork crap.

07 November 2009

Now that's just silly ...

Logged into my BodyBugg to log the coffee I downed on my way in to work tonight and, just to remind myself to behave tonight, looked at Thursday's numbers again.

Turns out I only went over by 43 freakin' calories!!! Under my burn so my deficit was off by 100-ish calories ... but I didn't do nearly as much damage as I thought I had!

I guess part of my brain was still under the assumption that I was at a lower consume goal than I actually am.

Still going to behave tonight, of course, but I'm going to do so because I know it's the right thing to do and NOT because I feel like I have to "make up" for anything!!!
